An experiential journey to the crossroads between Integral Theory and Evolutionary Enlightenment and an exploration of their potential for cultural transformation.

On Sunday, January 22^nd four speakers from two distinct yet deeply related approaches to spiritual and cultural transformation – Integral Theory and Evolutionary Enlightenment – will offer a daylong seminar exploring how these two powerful systems of thought and practice converge and mutually enrich each other.

In this seminar you will learn to make key distinctions between Integral Philosophy – a “meta theory” – and Evolutionary Enlightenment – a spiritual path – and based on the perspective that emerges from those distinctions explore with others the implications of this perspective on a range of important personal and cultural issues. These include the larger question of integral/evolutionary ethics and morality and the related question of psychological “shadow” work and dealing with the darker dimensions of the human psyche. And it is all in the context of bringing the best of ourselves to bear on the cultural crisis we are currently in the midst of.

Significantly, this seminar is part of a larger emerging global inquiry. Two of the facilitators, Jeff Carreira and Clint Fuhs, initiated this conversation on the East Coast last year in Washingtin DC and will continue to do so during the early part of the coming year In New York City. The other two facilitators, Mike Wombacher and Dustin DiPerna, initiated a series of “translineage” workshops in the Bay Area last year and will use this seminar as a platform to continue their explorations in the Bay Area in 2012.  This seminar forms part of a larger trajectory and the results of its inquiry will inform the actions taken on the global scale. About the presenters:

Jeff Carreira – As Director of Education at EnlightenNext, Jeff Carreira oversees the education and membership programs which support a growing global network of individuals committed to guiding humanity through an evolutionary leap in consciousness. Over the past 16 years he has become one of the leading representatives of EnlightenNext founder Andrew Cohen and his teaching of Evolutionary Enlightenment. 

Clint Fuhs – Clint is a leading authority in the field of Integral Theory and application and has been a senior student of its progenitor, Ken Wilber, for the past 8 years. Clint served in several leadership positions in the areas of operations and curriculum at Integral Institute and Integral Life since 2003.  Currently, he is the founder of Core Integral Inc., which he created with Ken in early 2009 as a platform to expand the accessibility and ensure the integrity of a comprehensive Integral understanding. Clint currently serves as adjunct faculty in the Integral Studies programs at both JFK University and Fielding Graduate University.

Dustin DiPerna – Dustin is author of three books -- Developmental Religious Pluralism: An Introduction to Integral Religious Studies; The Great Human Tradition: Synthesizing the Wisdom Streams of Planet Earth; and 2nd Wave Integral: Voices of our Shared Future. All to be released in 2012. Dustin has been a close student of Integral Philosopher Ken Wilber since 2004 and currently practices in the lineage streams of Mahamudra and Dzogchen under the guidance Daniel P. Brown. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts Degree in Religion through Harvard University.

Mike Wombacher – Mike has been a student of Evolutionary Enlightenment for 11 years. He is the author of 11 Days at the Edge: One Man’s Spiritual Journey into Evolutionary Enlightenment, a certified instructor on courses about Evolutionary Enlightenment, leader of the EnlightenNext mission on the West Coast and has spoken about the subject in numerous interviews. He currently resides in Berkeley, CA.
